The Alabama football program is encouraging fans to get to Bryant-Denny Stadium early Saturday for the No. 4 Crimson Tide’s prime-time matchup against No. 1 Georgia.
The team announced gates for Alabama vs. Georgia will open at 4 p.m. Saturday. Alabama is also encouraging fans to enter the stadium by 5 p.m.
According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Alabama football is still finalizing game-day logistics.
Former president and current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is scheduled to attend the Alabama-Georgia game Saturday.
“The safety of our campus is and will remain our top priority, and UAPD will work closely with the U.S. Secret Service and other law enforcement partners to coordinate security,” a University of Alabama spokesperson said in a statement.
“Like for every UA football game, walkthrough metal detectors will be in place and the clear bag policy will be strictly enforced,” the statement continues. “Additional safety measures will be enacted in collaboration with local and federal agencies, so fans are encouraged to arrive early to expedite the security screening process. The University’s focus will continue to be ensuring a safe and positive game day experience for the student-athletes, fans of both teams and all campus visitors.”
ESPN’s “College GameDay” will also host its show on campus starting at 8 a.m. from Denny Chimes.

Alabama announced that the Walk of Champions for the Crimson Tide’s game against Georgia will be at 4:25 p.m.
Alabama-Georgia Champions Lane start time
Gates for the Champions Lane fan fest ahead of Alabama vs. Georgia will open at 11:30 a.m. outside the gates of Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Country music singer Lauren Alaina is scheduled to perform at 4 p.m. while former Alabama football stars Trent Richardson (1 p.m.) and A.J. McCarron (2:30 p.m.) are scheduled to sign autographs.
