Mississippi State’s most famous football alum is Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott. In Dak’s first season as starter in 2014, he led the Bulldogs to a 10–2 regular season record, its first No. 1 ranking in program history, and led them to the Orange Bowl. During the 2015 season, Prescott became the fourth player in FBS history to pass for 60 touchdowns and rush for 40 touchdowns in a career.
The institution’s most famous alum is noted author John Grisham. The novelist, lawyer, and former member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, is known for his best-selling legal thrillers such as ‘The Firm,’ ‘The Client,’ and ‘The Pelican Brief.’
