BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — With the general election a little over a month away, the Alabama Secretary of State has released sample ballots of all the offices and amendments that will appear on each county’s ballot.
On Nov. 5, people across the nation will go out to the polls to cast their vote for different offices, most notably who will be the next president of the United States.
In Alabama, voters will also have the opportunity to vote for different statewide offices, such as Alabama’s 6th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and different judge seats on the Alabama Supreme Court.

Each county will have their own local offices up for re-election, such as superintendent of the Marion County Board of Education and the Winston County coroner.
While there are certain amendments up for a vote that affect certain counties, the only statewide amendment up for a vote involves granting “indemnity school land” owned by the Franklin County school system located in Walker and Fayette counties to be used exclusively by the Franklin County system.
The election will be held Nov. 5. According to the Alabama Secretary of State’s office, absentee ballots are already in the process of being sent out statewide.
