Oklahoma football defensive back Kendel Dolby was carted off the field with an ankle injury on Saturday during the second quarter of the Sooners’ game against Tennessee. Sooners coach Brent Venables confirmed after the game Dolby dislocated his ankle and will undergo surgery.
Dolby, who was down on the field for multiple moments, had his ankle placed in an air cast. The rest of the team gathered around Dolby as he exited the field before the crowd broke out into “Dolby” chants. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he left.

The senior defensive back, who missed last week’s game against Tulane with a concussion, is one of Oklahoma’s top contributors on defense. He had seven total tackles with a pass deflection entering the game.
