MONTAGUE CO., Texas (KSWO) – One person has died following a single-vehicle collision on US Highway 81 in Montague County.
The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, just a little over three miles southeast of Bowie.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the vehicle was traveling southeast when it veered off the right side of the road, striking an overpass concrete pillar.
Texas DPS says the driver, identified as 25-year-old Aaliyah Brown of Forest Hill, Texas, was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased due to injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
