ABERDEEN, S.D. (KFGO) – An Aberdeen man is indicted on seven charges of possessing and distributing computer-generated child pornography.
William Bragg, 56, is the first person from South Dakota to face the charges for the law that went into effect in July. The U.S. Justice Department says the crimes were committed last month.
Attorney General Marty Jackley says computer-generated child porn, including pictures and videos using artificial intelligence has become an increasing concern nationwide. The new statute makes it a crime to possess, distribute, and create computer-generated child porn.
Bragg faces a maximum of 75 years in the state penitentiary. He is out on $30,000 bond.
