Maryland State Department of Police officials persuaded a federal court to nix some claims from a lawsuit alleging the department discriminates against nonwhite officers in disciplinary measures and promotions.
The allegations against some current and ex-department supervisors were tossed, but claims against the state can proceed, the US District Court for the District of Maryland said.
