It reads like something out of a gangster movie.
The New Jersey State Police ran an investigation dubbed, Operation Beef Bandit, and today, the State Police have announced the arrests of 4 Philadelphia men in connection to the 2-month investigation.
The takedown was a fitting end to the Beef Caper.
The NJSP says they arrested, Shaun Coleman, 23, Salahudin Reddy, 37, Hanif Tucker, 31, and Rashan Clark-Reddy, 26 during the early morning of September 13.
Police had been investigating the group for nine burglaries that had occurred at various rest stops along the New Jersey Turnpike.
On September 13, police observed the suspects as they attempted to break into a trailer that was parked at the Molly Pitcher service area near Cranbury.
Troopers descended on the suspects, arresting Hanif Tucker. However, a second suspect, Shaun Coleman took off on foot but was quickly taken down.
Meanwhile, Salahudin Reddy and Rashan Clark-Reddy used a stolen vehicle to flee the police.
As they fled, police say the suspects intentionally struck an unmarked police vehicle as well as two other, marked vehicles.
Three of the Troopers were injured during the takedown, though their injuries are not thought to be serious.

This was the combination of an investigation into meat, alcohol, and seafood.
Police believe the suspects are connected to a series of thefts over the past three years involving millions of dollars in stolen goods.
All four suspects were charged with numerous offenses.
The suspects are being held in the Middlesex County Jail.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
