The Texas Longhorns are the new is No. 1 in The Associated Press Top 25 college football poll for the first time in 16 years. The Horns jumped over the formerly No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia is now No. 2.
Last week, Texas leapfrogged the Ohio State Buckeyes last week from third to second. Texas received 35 first-place votes and have 1,540 points. The Bulldogs got 23 first-place votes and 1,518 points.
