Texas State attempted to lateral the ball around at the end of the game on the play, but the Sun Devils were able to recover the ball for another turnover on one of the backward passes.
Kenny Dillingham said “that was ridiculous” about the official’s decision to put a second back on the clock. ESPN didn’t even broadcast the play, as it had already turned things over to Scott Van Pelt for SportsCenter at what was thought to be the conclusion of the game.
Score: ASU football 31, Texas State 28 (end of fourth quarter)
The ASU football team has almost matched its win total from last season.
Three games into the season.

But ASU’s drive stalled when they were close to field goal position and the Sun Devils were forced to punt.
