A Pennsylvania-based convenience store and gas chain has once again been listed amongst the top retail places to work in the United States.
Fortune — which, according to its “About Us” section, is a publication that seeks “to change the world by making business better” — has published this list for quite some time now, and formulates it based on survey feedback from over 123,000 retail employees.
For the ninth year in a row, Sheetz has made it onto the list, and — as noted by CBS Local Pittsburgh — it’s been on the up-and-up throughout that time period.

The Altoona company ranked second this year, sandwiched between Trader Joe’s in third and Wegmans in the top spot.
Great Places to Work states how about 88 percent of Sheetz employees confirm that the company is a stellar workplace, with nearly 25,000 staff members working for the brand.
“Sheetz is one of America’s fastest-growing, family-owned and -operated convenience retailers with stores in seven states, serving over 1.6 million customers daily,” reads the website. “Open 24/7/365, each store offers fuel, premium self-serve coffee, groceries and other merchandise, but freshly made, high-quality food is their main focus.
“Unique benefits and advancement opportunities reflect the company’s genuine concern for employees’ well-being — a respect that is felt within work groups and extends across the country through Total Customer Focus.”
