It should be an exciting Friday night for high school football in Delaware County. Undefeated Olentangy Liberty visits Olentangy Berlin and unbeaten Delaware Hayes plays at Big Walnut, and we’ll be at both games as part of our Week 4 live coverage.
The Delaware-Big Walnut game is the OCC-Capital opener for both teams. League play also gets underway in the OCC-Buckeye, MSL, Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference, Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference and the City League. The latter features a City-South showdown between undefeated Walnut Ridge and host Africentric, and that is the other game we’re covering.

Three 3-0 teams – Delaware, Liberty and Walnut Ridge – are part of our live coverage Friday night.
Delaware’s matchup with Big Walnut features two running backs who are off to strong starts in the Pacers’ Favour Akih and the Golden Eagles’ Nolan Buirley.
Liberty has outscored its opponents 83-13 with two shutouts. Dual-threat quarterback Aiden Eviston gets the task of trying to move Berlin’s offense.
Speaking of dual-threat QBs, Walnut Ridge’s Marquis Lucas will be the main concern for Africentric’s defense. Walnut Ridge’s Rob Wheelwright will try to win his first City League game as a head coach. The 2013 Walnut Ridge graduate starred for the Scots before playing at Wisconsin.
Elsewhere, Circleville, Columbus Academy, Grandview Heights, Granville, Grove City, Harvest Prep, London, Newark, Olentangy Orange, St. Charles and Watterson also will try to remain unbeaten.
