Illinois-based Hospital Sisters Health System was hit with a proposed class action alleging it failed to properly secure and safeguard patients’ personal and medical information following a 10-day data breach that occurred in August 2023.
The complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of Illinois alleges violations of the Federal Trade Commission Act and negligence, among other claims.
