It’s Week 4 of the Tennessee high school football season, and our predictions are in.
There are some Jackson area crosstown rivalries set to renew this week and other big-time region matchups as the TSSAA football season continues.
Here are the top 10 games to see this week, including the Jackson area game of the week, and our predictions.
Game of the WeekJackson Christian (3-0) at USJ (3-0)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
The offenses in this game are exciting to watch led by seniors. Jackson Christian wide receiver Jay’len Mosley and USJ running back Noah Spencer have been the spark for their respective offenses. Jackson Christian has been tested twice and USJ has beaten its opponents soundly in the first two games and outplayed TCA last week.

Friday’s top gamesCamden Central (2-1, 0-1 in Region 6-2A) at Milan (3-0, 1-0)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
Camden senior linebacker Nathan Redman reached the 225-tackle mark in his career to lead the Lions’ defense, which is averaging 16.4 points per game. Milan junior quarterback Will Johnson and junior running back Jaydon Peete have averaged 44 points in the first three games and won the last two games in dominant fashion.

Lexington (1-2, 0-0 in 6-4A) at North Side (2-1, 0-0)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
North Side junior Javonte Smith is a do-everything player for North Side. He is a solid punt returner, averaging 26 yards per return. He has scored a touchdown in all three games, including two touchdowns with an interception return for a TD in the opener against Crockett County.
Chastain: North Side 24, Lexington 13
Columbia Academy (2-1) at Huntingdon (1-1)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
Huntingdon senior running back Brady Warbritton had a massive rushing performance last week with 216 and four touchdowns in the Mustangs’ win over Adamsville to start region play. Huntingdon senior quarterback Gray Eubanks ran for 145 yards last week after running for 282 in the season opener against McKenzie.

Crockett County (3-0) at South Side (1-1)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
The Cavaliers and senior wide receiver Deuce Greenhill have been in control of their last two games after winning a thrilling game against North Side in the opener. South Side had its game last week against Liberty canceled in the first quarter because of weather.
Chastain: Crockett County 23, South Side 17
Humboldt (2-1, 0-0 in 7-1A) at Greenfield (2-1, 0-1)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
Humboldt junior running back Jeremiah Jones is off to a big start for the Vikings, who has already doubled their win total from 2023. Jones ran for 201 yards and two touchdowns in the 34-0 win over Harding Academy last week.
Chastain: Humboldt 34, Greenfield 10

Halls (3-0, 1-0 in 7-1A) at Dresden (0-3, 0-1)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
Freshman linebacker Clyce Tetleton has been a defensive force for the Tigers, averaging almost eight tackles per game and having made 11 tackles in the Tigers’ win last week against Greenfield. Halls has allowed 14 points in three games. Dresden, on the other hand, has struggled on both sides of the ball but showed signs of improvement last week against Lake County.

Fayette-Ware (0-3, 0-0 in 7-4A) at Haywood (2-1, 0-0)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
Haywood struggled against Class 6A power Oakland last week, however junior wide receiver Caden Harris racked up over 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in the loss. Senior running back Kemonte Williams has averaged over 110 yards for the Tomcats this season.
Chastain: Haywood 45, Fayette-Ware 8

SOUTH GIBSON’S GAAD: South Gibson’s Yahya Gaad tries to stay focused on winning while navigating recruiting
Lake County (2-1, 1-0 in 7-1A) at South Fulton (3-0, 0-0)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
Lake County has started its season with two solid wins against Obion County and Dresden and one tough loss to Dyersburg. Still, the Falcons offense can score with quarterback Chance Estes. South Fulton started the season beating up on teams in Kentucky before winning a high-scoring thriller over Tipton-Rosemark last week.
Chastain: Lake County 24, South Fulton 21

Adamsville (2-1, 0-1 in 6-2A) at Peabody (0-3, 0-1)
Time: 7 p.m. Date: Friday
Peabody started its season off with a brutal stretch with USJ, Jackson Christian and Riverside. Junior Jayden Jennings came up big in last week’s game with 15 tackles against Riverside. Adamsville, led by junior quarterback Ben Hill, won its first two games but struggled last week against Huntingdon.
Chastain: Peabody 23, Adamsville 17
