Week 2 of Iowa high school football has come and gone, which means the Press-Citizen has once again ranked each IHSAA team in the Iowa City area.
Iowa City Liberty remained No. 1 after an electric 49-20 road win over Iowa City High on Friday. The Lightning didn’t show any signs of slowing down after totaling 472 yards of offense. Solon blew out Clear Creek Amana, 42-14, with a strong performance on both sides of the ball. Regina Catholic continued its early-season success with a 28-17 win over Mid-Prairie while Iowa City West defeated Urbandale, 34-28, to earn their first win of the season.
