(KBTX) – One ticket matched all six numbers drawn in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing, earning the winner the jackpot prize of $810 million ($409.3 million cash option) according to officials with the lottery.
The winning numbers were white balls 1, 2, 16, 24, and 66, plus the gold Mega Ball 6.
The lone jackpot ticket was sold at Murphy USA 8848 in Sugar Land.
According to the lottery it is the 15th time a Mega Millions jackpot has been won in Texas since the state joined the game in December 2003.
Four other tickets won $1 million prizes by matching all five white balls. Those tickets were sold in California, Florida, New York, and Washington.
Tuesday’s jackpot was the seventh-largest jackpot in the game’s history and just the third won in 2024.
