MANOA, Hawaii (KHON2) — The University of Hawaii at Manoa continues making national headlines after the institution was made the Wall Street Journal’s “College Pulse 2025 Best Colleges in the US” rankings.

Out of more than 2,600 four-year colleges, UH Manoa was included in the 500 universities selected to the list.

According to the rankings, the flagship of the 10-campus system came in at number 302 overall and 127 for public universities.
The rankings were based on student outcomes, student and alumni surveys and diversity. Officials reported that “more than 54,000 students and alumni were surveyed online between January and May 2024.
There are any number of higher education rankings out there, and they use different methodologies to produce different numbers. But UH Mānoa is consistently well-ranked every year, providing external validation of what we know—that UH Mānoa is one of the best universities in the world.

In addition to this ranking, UH Manoa was selected as number 73 in U.S institutions and number 488 in the world for the 2025 edition of the QS World University Rankings.
The rankings selected UH for its academic, faculty, research and sustainability excellence.
In addition, the university earned a spot on the Princeton Review’s “Best 390 Colleges for 2025” list.
