WLX | Western Logistics Express, an asset-backed supply chain management organization, will relocate to a new headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, creating 76 new jobs.

WLX | Western Logistics Express’ new downtown Kansas City location will span more than 20,000 square feet and provide a newly furnished space with an open floor plan for up to 175 employees.
WLX | Western Logistics Express’ new office is located in Crown Center Plaza in the Crossroads of downtown Kansas City, offering a prime location with easy access to various amenities and transportation options. New jobs added as part the company’s expanded headquarters will pay an average wage well above the county average.
Paytient Technologies To Expand Office In Columbia
Paytient Technologies, a healthcare technology company, whose home office is in Columbia, is creating 32 new jobs. The company is expanding its workforce locally, as well as nationally, to meet growing market demand.

Parson. “Our state is receiving national recognition as a hub for high-tech innovation due to our low costs and ideal business climate. It’s exciting to see leading employers like Paytient contributing to our technology industry while investing and creating jobs in their communities.”
Founded in Columbia in 2018, Paytient created a new benefit, the Health Payment Account, which empowers insured Americans to more easily and confidently access care before their deductible is met. In 2025, the company will partner with Medicare Part D Plan Sponsors and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to power their Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (M3P) solution. Paytient was recently added to the health plans of nearly 45,000 Missourians via its partnerships with Anthem and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Chamber Benefit Plan.

“Improving the ability to pay for care improves health outcomes,” said Brian Whorley, Paytient Founder and CEO. “The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan ensures all Part D beneficiaries are better able to access and afford healthcare. We believe this has become a standard of care as it relates to health plan design – insurers are building plans that give more people a better opportunity to ensure they’re able to get care.”
In partnership with leading payers and PBMs, Paytient estimates that it will be part of nearly 25 million Americans’ health plans in 2025 with further expansion in 2026.
