So many mistakes and penalties by Notre Dame.

With a hostile environment, you’d expect some penalties, but not as many as Notre Dame had. The first half was a circus, as multiple holding flags stalled drives, while the defensive line jumped offsides keeping drives alive. It was the same in the second half, as two penalties assisted the Aggies in finding the end zone for their first score and tie the game early in the fourth quarter.
They reared their ugly head on the next drive, a lease start by Sam Pendleton on third-down was huge. It’s not a coincidence that when the Irish stopped committing penalties, they took control of the game. The finished the game with 11 penalties for 99-yards, which almost cost them the game.
