DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – If you mees up — don’t blame your wife!
A Colorado husband learned that the hard way after he recently got pulled over in Douglas County!
“We are used to hearing all sorts of excuses as to why someone has an expired license plate or temporary tag, but this one made us cringe a bit,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post. “When the deputy asked why he had not renewed his tags, the driver said it was his wife’s car, and she should have done it. Yikes.”
The deputy … wasn’t impressed.
“He got the ticket, not his wife,” the sheriff’s office said.
Driving with expired tags is a surefire way to get a ticket — pinning the blame on a family member is just bad manners!
