UTEP is set to face Nebraska in Week 1 of college football.
Nebraska brings back most of its defensive starters from a unit ranked 15th nationally last year. The team has named Dylan Raiola its starting quarterback — an impressive feat for a true freshman who was the nation’s No. 1 QB recruit from Buford, Georgia.
UTEP Head Coach Scotty Walden enters his first year with the Miners, who are earning $1.65 million for this game. The Miners haven’t beaten a power-conference team since they topped Ole Miss in the 1967 Sun Bowl, and they’ve never secured a win against one on the road.
