COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A fatal Collison occurred in Colleton County Monday evening, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
According to the report, the accident occurred on US 15 near the intersection of Longleaf Drive about a half mile north of Walterboro.
The deceased was driving a Toyota sedan travelling south on the highway when they ran off the right side of the road and left side of the road before striking a utility pole and a tree.
The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
An active investigation is underway and any updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
