Another Red Lobster restaurant in Arizona will be closing three months after the company filed for bankruptcy.
The latest expected restaurant closures bring the total to at least 129 across the U.S. In the most recent wave, three restaurants were closing in Florida, Illinois and Virginia, two in Minnesota and New York, and one in each of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and South Carolina.
In a 23-page court document filed Aug. 22 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, the Orlando-based company said it is rejecting the leases of an additional 23 locations by Saturday, Aug. 31.

According to one of the documents filed in bankruptcy court, these Arizona Red Lobster locations were on the chopping block if their leases cannot be renegotiated:
5061 N. Oracle Road in Tucson.
7921 W. Bell Road in Peoria.
2810 N. 75th Ave. in Phoenix.
Which companies are closing stores in the US?
Red Lobster is one of a handful of major retailers closing locations across the United States.
Home goods retailer Conn’s HomePlus announced it was going out of business and would close all 10 stores in Arizona.
Walgreens announced that it would close locations across the U.S., though the specific locations closing was not announced.
At least 44 Hooters locations had closed as of Friday, USA TODAY reported. The company attributed “pressure from current market conditions” for the closures.
In Arizona, 21 Big Lots locations were closing as the company struggles with a tough consumer market.
