Netflix is ready to reminisce over the Paris Olympics.
On Friday, the streaming platform took to X to tease its upcoming Olympic basketball series, in partnership with the International Olympic Committee.
“This series will follow potential medal contenders and promising hopefuls in men’s basketball as teams from across the world compete in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and qualifying events leading up to it,” the logline reads. “Alongside exclusive behind-the-scenes access, the story of how the game of basketball became so globally competitive will be explored through generations of legends.”
The six-episode series will premiere in early 2025. Among the show’s executive producers are Barack and Michelle Obama under their Higher Ground Productions banner, with The Last Dance’s Jake Rogal serving as showrunner.

Netflix and the IOC are also set to roll out two other sports-centered shows. Simone Biles: Rising will follow the comeback of the world’s most decorated gymnast, and Sprint focuses on tracking the 100-meter sprinters.
At this year’s Olympics, Biles won three gold medals, Noah Lyles took home the gold at the 100-meter sprint, and the USA Men’s Basketball Team won gold, as well.
