Richmond police detectives identified the man killed in Friday morning’s shooting in the city’s South Side.
On Friday at approximately 1:35 a.m., officers were called to the 1500 block of Treehaven Drive for the report of a person shot.
Officers at the scene discovered a man identified as Benjamin Herman, 24, of Richmond, on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. Herman was transported to a local hospital, where he died later that morning.Â
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
