Team USA will play Australia in the women’s basketball semifinal at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday, Aug. 9, at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Today’s game will be played at 11:30 a.m. ET in Bercy Arena. So far, the United States women’s Basketball Team is undefeated at the 2024 Olympics, beating Japan 102-76, Belgium 87-74, Germany 87-68 and Nigeria 88-74.
Since women’s basketball debuted at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, the United States has been on the podium each time they’ve participated. The team has a reputation of nine gold medals, one silver and one bronze.
In the Paris Olympics, Australia lost one game 75-62 to Nigeria. Otherwise, they beat Canada 70-65, France 79-72 and Serbia 85-67. This is the first time the Australian women’s basketball team has made it past the quarterfinals in Olympic play since the 2012 London games. The team has three silver medals and two bronze.
