Lee is a Pennsylvania wrestling legend and a three-time PIAA state champ from Franklin Regional High School. He was also a three-time NCAA champ at Iowa, who made a transition into full-time senior freestyle for the first time in 2024. Lee dominated opponents Bekzat Almaz of Kyrgyzstan (12-2) and Gulomjon Abdullaev (14-4) in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
Higuchi is a 2023 world silver medalist at 57 kilograms, losing to Serbian and University of Michigan alum Stevan Mićić in the tournament finals. He also owns world championships gold from 2022 and Olympics silver in 2016.
