The USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll was released Monday.
The Crimson Tide is ranked fifth entering Kalen DeBoer’s first season as head coach.
It’s Alabama’s lowest preseason raking since 2009. The last time it was ranked this low, Nick Saban led the Tide to a BCS National Championship.
Eight other SEC teams joined Alabama in the preseason poll.
