PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Deer permits for the 2024-25 hunting season in Rhode Island are now on sale.
The Rhode Island Department Environmental Management (DEM) began selling the antlered or antlerless permits on Thursday. Hunters must have the appropriate permits to legally hunt or harvest any deer.

Permits cost $13 for Rhode Island residents and $26.50 for non-residents. They cost an additional 50 cents and $1 more respectfully if you buy the permits in-person rather than online.
The “All Outdoors” package costs $78 online and $81 if bought through a sales agent. It includes five antlerless deer and two antlered deer permits.
