LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The Olympics are underway for the women’s team. The USA basketball team is looking to bring home the gold.
Robyn Fralick, head coach of the Michigan State University women’s basketball team, discussed more about the pressure of the Olympic athletes as the team is in Paris.
“They’re the best of the best, and they’re the best of the best because they can handle pressure and they can really be elite in the biggest moments,” said Fralick. “One of the things we share with our team a lot is stay in the huddle. We feel like in the huddle and together, pressure’s something we can manage together.”
“I think pressure’s a privilege when you get to that stage and when you get to that level, you’ve earned the right for the moment to be big,” said Fralick.
