On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs released a tight end who suffered an injury during practice at the start of training camp. With a roster spot open, the Chiefs signed a tight end who had played with the Chiefs previously.
The Chiefs have had a busy week with roster moves at pass-catching positions this week. As previously discussed on GH, they signed wide receiver Kyle Sheets on Wednesday:
According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Chiefs signed undrafted rookie free agent Kyle Sheets. Sheets played college football for Slippery Rock. He signed with the New Orleans Saints this spring, but the Saints waived him in June.
Per Slippery Rock’s website, the six-foot-four, 220-pound receiver earned consensus All-American honors at the D-II level for the 2023 season. Sheets finished his career with 154 receptions and 29 receiving touchdowns. He appeared in 51 games for Slippery Rock.

However, he is credited as a member of the Super Bowl-winning team. He signed a future/reserves contract following the season.
