The Wisconsin football staff has already begun to work on the 2027 recruiting class after sending out an early scholarship.
Brayton Feister, a 2027 athlete from Ohio, is an accomplished running back and linebacker on the football field as well as a dominant wrestler on the mat. Feister holds a handful of scholarship offers already, including offers from the Wisconsin football staff and the Kentucky Wildcats among others. During a recent interview with Wisconsin Sports Heroics, Feister revealed what it was like to receive a scholarship from Wisconsin, as well as his love for Coach Luke Fickell on the field.

The Wisconsin football staff and many other programs have been keeping a close eye on one of the more interesting 2027 recruits. Ohio native Brayton Feister, a running back and linebacker for Archbishop Hoban, impressed this past season with his dominance on both sides of the ball. Feister dominated as a running back and displayed his versatility, but truly put himself on the map with his defensive play.
Coming in at 6-feet-2-inches, and 215-pounds, Feister is also an accomplished wrestler, but currently does not plan on continuing in college. When asked about wrestling, Feister stated, “As much as I love it sadly no, I plan on focusing on football for my collegiate career.”
As a fellow wrestler, Coach Fickell is someone who Feister idolizes as he stated, “I’m a big wrestler so I’m a big fan of Coach Fickell so that offer meant a lot to me.” Feister also stated that the offer from Wisconsin was “insane”.
The athlete has been known for his work in the gym, putting up maxes of 325-pounds on the bench and 475-pounds for his squat.

For Feister, the recruiting process has started early and so has his thoughts regarding what he wants in his future collegiate home. When asked about what he needs in a college, Feister stated, “Looking for a place of tradition, a place where winning is a big factor, but getting guys ready for the next level is an even bigger factor.”
The athlete also added that the “…the way coaches and players mesh” is a major factor in his collegiate decision as well. The Wisconsin football staff truly loves the attitude and play-style of Feister, and the staff is looking to develop a relationship with the recruit early on.

For the Wisconsin staff, Feister is someone they can see doing a little bit of everything for the team. This past season, Feister truly proved himself on the field and also proved that he has a different level of versatility within the positions he plays.
As a running back, Feister can either drop his shoulder and run over opposing defenders, or he can make a quick cut and fly past them. Perhaps the best aspect of his running game is the high-motor running style he brings to the field. Feister pushes through multiple defenders to extend runs and never stop churning his legs until the whistle blows the play dead.
As a linebacker, Feister is a dominant tackler with excellent field vision even when he is at top speed. His tenacity and high-motor carries over to the defense where the recruit is near impossible to get past once he is in tackling range.
