Recruiting for the 2025 cycle keeps on looking better and better for Texas A&M football. The Aggies are in the race for big time prospects all across the nation, and have landed their fair share of high-level players already.
Wide receiver has been one of the spots that Aggie fans have been looking at the closest—with a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. The Ags are already thin at the position with what they have on campus (pending a possible positional swap by Terry Bussey or breakout from Izaiah Williams), and they need some reinforcements in a big way.
Luckily, Texas A&M football has been in on a number of big time receiver prospects this cycle. Given how the last few years have gone in College Station, Holmon Wiggins has his work cut out for him. The dam has begun to break here recently, though, as the Ags have now landed two receivers in the past month.
4-star Hitchcock WR Kelshaun Johnson announced his commitment to Texas A&M yesterday.

Johnson is a versatile and speedy prospect who has drawn comparisons to Ainias Smith. For all the great traits that Ainias brought to the table, though, Johnson may outdo him at one of the most important: speed.
This was a head-to-head win for the Aggies over the Texas Longhorns as well. Texas is scrambling after now striking out on DK Moore and Johnson, relying on making a big push for Kaliq Lockett—another head-to-head with the Aggies. If A&M wins out in that one as well, it could signal big time trouble for the Longhorns.
