Jake Dickert’s staff landed one of their top remaining targets in the 2025 recruiting class on Thursday.
Kyle Peterson, a safety from Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas announced his commitment to the Cougars via X with the caption “PULLMAN I’M HOME!!! 1000% COMMITTED.”

Peterson is a three-star prospect in the class of 2025 with a listed height of 6’0″ and 185 pounds, per 247Sports.
In two varsity seasons at Shadow Creek, Peterson has totaled 50 tackles with four interceptions, a fumble recovery, and seven pass breakups.
Washington State now has four safeties in the 2025 class. With a player rating of 86 from 247Sports, Peterson is tied for the highest-rated player in WSU’s group.
Peterson took an official visit to WSU the weekend of June 20. His other scholarship offers includes Louisiana, Arizona State, Kansas, Hawaii, Dartmouth, North Texas, Texas State, Tulsa, UTSA, UTEP and Eastern Illinois.
