The Washington State Cougars picked up another commitment for their 2025 class, which now includes 15 players. The latest comes from within the borders of the Cougars’ home state.
David Kuku of Kennewick’s Kamiakin High School announced his commitment to Jake Dickert’s program via X on July 4. 247Sports ranked Kuku as a three-star prospect and listed him at 6’0″ and 175 pounds. He is also listed as the #12 overall prospect in the state of Washington for the class of 2025.

Kuku chose the Cougars over offers from Nebraska, Colorado State, Boise State, Arizona State, and San Diego State, among a handful of FCS schools.
With a composite score of 0.8467, he is the highest-rated recruit in Washington State’s 2025 class. Kuku is also the second cornerback in the group, alongside Ishmael Gibbs of West Hills, California. Per his MaxPreps page, Kuku had 26 tackles last year with one interception and a forced fumble.

Kuku’s first chance to sign his NLI will be December 4, 2024.
