Texas A&M baseball is continuing on their recruiting heater after the hire of Michael Earley. The Aggies have been cleaning up in the portal, and almost every single contributor of note from last year has decided to return to College Station to run it back in 2025.
One of these contributors is LHP Kaiden Wilson. Wilson was a situational guy on the mound last year, but his ability impressed even in limited work. His fastball was intimidating, climbing to the 95 MPH range, and his other pitches were solid enough to project him as an eventual weekend starter.

As Kendall Rogers says, Wilson could easily be a Chris Cortez replacement in the short term for Aggie baseball. That is to say, he could grow into an elite middle-innings reliever role for the Ags if they have the three weekend starter spots sewn up—and with Tanner Jones, Justin Lamkin, and Shane Sdao coming back, that may be the case—and potentially grow into one of those spots himself.
Another note from Rogers is that the Aggies are expected to add a couple of arms from the portal in the near future. With the hire of Washington HC Jason Kelly as the Aggies’ pitching coach, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Husky starter or two follow him. Even if not, the Ags are becoming a more and more attractive destination for talent from around the nation given what they are returning.
This Texas A&M baseball team already looked like a contender with what has been confirmed to return. If you add a few arms—possibly including Ryan Prager, even—this could quickly become a team with precious few skill gaps on the roster, and therefore a national title favorite.
