On Monday, July 1, the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced its preseason All-America Teams which featured five Ohio State Buckeyes, which is the most in the country. The Buckeyes are regarded as having one of the most talented rosters in college football. Ohio State has National Championship or bust expectations this year which will give their players heightened expectations to live up to.

Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is one of the highest-rated receivers expected to enter the NFL Draft after this season. Egbuka had a down year for the Buckeyes in 2023, after an elite 2022 campaign, however, that was mostly due to the drop-off in quarterback play at Ohio State. Egbuka will be hungry to return among the best in college football in 2024.
In 2023, Egbuka recorded 515 yards and 4 touchdowns, which resulted in All-Big Ten 3rd team honors.

Ohio State Defensive lineman Tyleik Williams is one of the most dominant forces in college football and sets the tone for the Ohio State defense. Williams will be a highly coveted prospect for NFL teams heading into the 2025 NFL Draft.
In 2023, Tyleik Williams recorded 54 tackles including 7 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. Williams landed on Walter Camp All-America second team, as well as the All-Big Ten second team a season ago.

Former Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins will enter his first season as a Buckeye with a lot of hype after transferring to Ohio State this spring. Judkins is all over NFL scout’s radars this season and will look to be the top running back heading into the 2025 NFL Draft.
In 2023, Quinshon Judkins recorded 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns, which resulted in 1st team All-SEC honors.
Walter Camp Second Team: Denzel BurkeSep 2, 2023; Bloomington, Indiana, USA; Ohio State Buckeyes cornerback Denzel Burke (10) lines up during the NCAA football game at Indiana University Memorial Stadium. Ohio State won 23-3.
Ohio State cornerback Denzel Burke looks to add to his Buckeye legacy in his senior year in the scarlet and gray. Denzel Burke has had an impressive collegiate career finding himself on the field in his freshman season and becoming one of the best cornerbacks in the country by his sophomore year. Many thought Burke would enter the NFL Draft in 2024, but decided to stay for his senior year in Columbus.
In 2023, Burke recorded 8 pass breakups and one interception, landing on the 2nd team Walter Camp All-America team, and 1st team All-Big Ten team.

Perhaps the biggest name in the transfer portal this offseason was superstar Alabama safety Caleb Downs, who transferred to Ohio State. Caleb Downs was arguably the best freshman in the country in 2023 and will look to energize the already solid Ohio State secondary in 2024.
In 2023, Caleb Downs was Alabama’s leading tackler with 107 tackles. Downs received multiple honors including the Shaun Alexander National Freshman of the Year, and Pro Football Focus 1st team All-American.
