PA state representative, Millcreek police host license plate replacement event

Worn-down license plates can be a problem when driving, but one local representative has a solution for plate replacements.

PA State Representative Ryan Bizzarro partnered with the Millcreek Police Department for a free license plate restoration event Thursday evening.

Anyone was invited to drive their cars to the old K-mart parking lot on West 26th Street, where Bizzarro’s team made sure the correct paperwork is filed before mailing it to Harrisburg.

Residents will be notified when the new plates are mailed to Bizzaro’s office, but the new plates are helping keep drivers out of trouble.

Safety top priority for law enforcement ahead of Trump’s Erie visit

“It just saves folks the aggravation of getting pulled over by the police officer and getting a fine. Right now, we’re able to get these plates off the streets for free for you. Come take advantage of that service and if you can’t come visit us today at this event, stop at our legislative office and we’ll take care of it there for you,” said PA state Rep. Bizzarro.

Bizzarro added his team plans on having more license plate restoration events in the future.
