Nebraska softball releases Big Ten schedule

The Nebraska softball team announced its Big Ten schedule for the upcoming season on Tuesday and it features three teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2024.

The Huskers will play a total of 22 games across eight series, hosting four at Bowlin Stadium and hitting the road for four others.

Northwestern, Indiana and new conference foe Washington headline the slate as tourney teams. NU will also face Ohio State, Minnesota, Purdue, Iowa and Maryland.

Nebraska opens league play against the Buckeyes, a three-game series from March 14-16 in Columbus, Ohio. Only two of the games will count in the standings.

Big Ten home competition kicks off March 21-23 against Minnesota.

The Huskers finished 30-23 overall and 12-9 in Big Ten play last season.
