FEMA updates registration numbers for southeastern South Dakota residents

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — FEMA is continuing to release information on the number of households in southeastern South Dakota being approved for help.

In Union County, there are 303 individual households approved for FEMA assistance, getting almost $4 million total.

Siouxland Recovery Fund’s individual assistance program to end soon

In Lincoln County, 432 households are getting help from the agency, receiving more than $1.5 million dollars.

In Turner County, 116 households were approved, obtaining more than $470,000.

Additionally, a mitigation event will take place at Olson’s Ace Hardware in Beresford. That will happen from Oct. 2-5 from 9:30 a.m until 6 p.m. and on Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p-m.
