Tennessee football will play Arkansas in another primetime night game on Oct. 5.
The game in Fayetteville, Arkansas, will kick off at either 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN or ABC, the SEC announced on Monday. The precise time and network will be announced after the Sept. 28 games.
The Vols (4-0, 1-0 SEC) should be well rested for that trip after taking off this week, following a 25-15 road win over Oklahoma.
Tennessee lost 24-13 at Arkansas in 2020. But that wasn’t the full experience of Razorbacks gameday because only 16,500 were permitted to attend the game due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The Vols hold a 13-6 all-time record against Arkansas, but the Razorbacks have won three straight (2011, 2015, 2020) in the series.

Tennessee is ranked No. 5 in the AP Top 25 and No. 6 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. By Oct. 5, it should be higher because top-4 teams Georgia and Alabama play on Saturday, so the loser will drop behind undefeated Tennessee.
Arkansas (3-1, 1-0) got a few votes in both polls this week after beating Auburn 24-14. On Saturday, the Razorbacks will host No. 24 Texas A&M to try to make an impression on poll voters before the Tennessee game.
