Mike Iannotta and Holly Kourakos were the winners of the OCNJ Half Marathon that had nearly 1,000 finishers Sunday.
Overall winner Iannotta, of the Marlton section of Evesham Township, finished the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 6 minutes, 59.54 seconds — an average sub-5-minute mile.
Women’s winner Kourakos, 38, of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, finished in 1:24:28.99 and was 15th overall.
The course took the 976 finishers along Ocean City’s Boardwalk, through downtown and neighborhoods. Runners from all over New Jersey competed.
Among the many other states represented: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Virginia, Michigan, South Carolina, New York, Wisconsin, Arkansas, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Delaware, Kentucky, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Vermont, California, Connecticut, Washington, Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana and Missouri, plus the District of Columbia and England.

A non-competitive 10-mile run/walk and a 5K also were held. According to a release from the city, the run/walk had 131 finishers. The 5K had 493 finishers, bringing the total number of finishers in the day’s three events to 1,600.
The city’s next race, the Trail of Two Cities 5K, is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2. To register, go to www.ocnj.us/race-events.
