USA TODAY readers have made their voice heard and declared the best grocery store across all 50 states—which has a Springfield location.
It’s the first time this store has won Best Grocery Store in America in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
America’s most loved grocery store
Hy-Vee has been voted the Best Grocery Store in America, taking the top spot among the most-loved grocery stores in the country. Previously the company ranked within the top three spots, but this is the first time on the golden podium for the Iowa-based company.
The second place on the list was Fresh Market which uses a warehouse style supermarket and operates in 22 states, while third place was taken by Heinen’s Grocery for their rewards and family-owned chain style.

Did Hy-Vee win any other awards?
Hy-Vee was also voted America’s Best Grocery Store for Produce and ranked the No. 2 Best Grocery Store for Prepared Food in the nation.
