Acrobatic play by Michael Hawkins Jr. was ruled short of goal line

It was a rough night for Oklahoma as it started its SEC life.

Tennessee came into Norman and downed the Sooners, 25-15.

They couldn’t catch a break on the most spectacular of plays.

Quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr/ took off for the end zone, was hit and did a flip before a hard landing.

The crowd was thrilled thinking it had seen an acrobatic score but the officials reviewed the play and said Hawkins was short of the goal line.
