The Alabama-Georgia rivalry dates back to 1895, a game the Bulldogs won handedly 30-6 against the Crimson Tide. But it’s a rivalry that Alabama has dominated, especially as of late.
Alabama has won 43 of 73 total meetings between the two teams including eight of the last nine games dating back to the 2008 season.
From 1992-2023, Alabama and Georgia were in separate SEC divisions, leading to eight non-championship or College Football Playoff meetings between the teams in the past 32 years. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs’ past three matchups have either been in the SEC championship or the CFP National Championship.

‘College GameDay’ to air from Tuscaloosa before Georgia-Alabama
Nick Saban is coming back to Tuscaloosa with ESPN’s “College GameDay,” the network announced Saturday.
The former Alabama football coach and ESPN’s college football pregame show will air from the University of Alabama’s campus Saturday morning. The show will begin at 8 a.m. with Saban, Desmond Howard, Rece Davis, Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso, among others, previewing the top games of Week 5 including Alabama vs. Georgia.
