CHILLICOTHE – Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague visited Chillicothe recently to tour the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center.

As part of the visit, Treasurer Sprague met with several students and faculty members to discuss the various programs and credentialing offered through the career center. While on campus, Sprague presented school leaders with a proclamation commemorating the CTC’s 50th anniversary celebration.

“The strength of Ohio’s future is built upon the strength of its workforce,” said Sprague. “Over the past half century, the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center has forged a lasting legacy of empowering Ohioans to reach their fullest potential and thrive in their chosen careers. It’s a pleasure to tour the facilities and get a glimpse of all the great work that is underway on the campus.”

The Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center offers more than 50 high school programs allowing students to earn industry-recognized credentials and college credits during their time at school. The center also offers career-based training for adults in many industries, including welding, nursing, and firefighting.
