President Joe Biden is hosting world leaders at his home in Greenville and at Archmere Academy in Claymont for the Quad Leaders Summit
For the first time as president, Joe Biden is hosting foreign leaders in Delaware this weekend.
The leaders are from the Quad, a diplomatic group representing Australia, India, Japan and the United States that’s focused on Indo-Pacific issues.
They are:
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese: The 61-year-old has been in office since May 23, 2022.Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi: The 74-year-old has been in office since May 26, 2014.Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishid: The 67-year-old has been in office since Oct. 4, 2021, and will be leaving early next month.
In addition to these countries’ leaders are some names that you may recognize, including Antony Blinken, the U.S. secretary of state, and Caroline Kennedy, the U.S. ambassador to Australia.
Meetings are taking place Friday and Saturday at Biden’s Greenville home and at his alma mater Archmere Academy in Claymont.

On Friday evening, Biden hosted a personal meeting with Australia’s Albanese at his home.

Also on Friday night, the president met with about 30 Archmere football players at their school after they won their game against Newark 43-13.
President Joe Biden meets with Japanese prime minister
On Saturday morning, Biden had a personal meeting with Japan’s Kishida at his home.
