The hit Netflix series “Love is Blind” dropped the cast list for its D.C.-based season on Wednesday, and we could have guessed that the cast would have some Baltimore connections.
Whether these Marylanders will step out of the dating pods and commit to someone sight unseen will remain a mystery for now — the season does not debut until Oct. 2.
Until then, though, here are the contestants who have a local tie that we could suss out.
Jason
Jason is a Pisces, according to Netflix.
On the Netflix cast list, Jason is described as a 30-year-old loan officer who said he’s not sure if he’s ever been in love. His worst habit, he said, is “being a terrible texter.”
The Instagram account connected to his profile reveals him as Jason Drecchio, and his profile features photos of him around Baltimore, in Annapolis and spending time on the Chesapeake Bay. According to one of his social media posts, Drecchio owns property in the Hollins Market neighborhood.
Nick P.
Nick P., is a Sagittarius, according to Netflix, and the proud father of a 9-year-old boy.
Described as a proud father by Netflix, Nick P.’s Instagram account identifies him as Nick Pugh. Though his profile does not say exactly where in Maryland he lives, his page says he lives in the “(M)” part of the DMV, meaning Maryland.
Pugh describes himself as a huge “Star Wars” fan, and his Instagram profile shows him posting from Montgomery County.
Tamar
Tamar, a Taurus, told Netflix he is not big on “drama queens” or vegans. (Courtesy photo/Netflix)
Tamar Smith, a video editor and animator, describes Baltimore as his hometown in his Netflix bio. A post of his from last year shows the Patterson Park pagoda lit up on an autumn evening.
According to Netflix, Smith is headed into the “Love is Blind” pods to find an independent woman who can integrate into his friend group.
Ashley W.
Ashley, a Cancer, says she has a girly girly side and a tomboy side.
Ashley W., whose last name is not connected to her profile, also identifies herself as living in the “(M)” of the DMV. Her Instagram profile also identifies her as a graduate of Morgan State University in Baltimore.
In one of her posts apparently taken at CFG Bank Arena, she calls herself “a Baltimore Hottie.” Her Netflix bio describes her as a middle school teacher who’s looking for an athletic, compassionate and well-groomed partner.
Brittany
Brittany, a Cancer, says her Baltimore-based cleanup organization has collected more than 10,000 pounds of trash.
Brittany Wisniewski is the co-founder of Hands On HIIT, an “environmental event organization” that cleans up waterways and organizes workout events.
Her Instagram profile highlights several cleanup events that she’s organized or participated in, including working with employees from Atlas Restaurant Group.
Wisniewski, who is followed on Instagram by Baltimore’s own Mr. Trash Wheel, say she’s drawn to adventurous men. Her Netflix bio says she has a preference for older guys and is looking for a future-oriented partner.
Dylan
Dylan, an Aries, said a guy who can teach her to ride a bike might be the perfect match.
Dylan Maddox is a real estate agent in Baltimore working for The Batoff Group of Compass. Her Instagram page shows her selling houses in neighborhoods such as Hampden and Mount Vernon, and in other parts of Maryland, such as Rockville.
The key to Maddox’s heart, according to her Netflix bio, is embracing her “weirdness.” Described as a “multifaceted hustler,” Maddox said she also builds furniture and does woodworking.
According to her bio for the show, Maddox entered the pods on “Love Is Blind” looking for a motivated and goofy guy.
Katie
Katie, a Taurus, told Netflix she doesn’t want people to have preconceived notions of why she’s 35 years old and single.
Katie’s Instagram page identifies her as Katie Bollinger, who lives in Baltimore, according to a TikTok account that’s also connected to her Netflix bio. She’s a former lacrosse player from Westminster.
According to her “Love Is Blind” bio, Bollinger is “a big love bug” and looking for someone who’s “an alpha man.”
Bollinger, described as a “sports marketing manager” by Netflix, works for the Baltimore Ravens, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Marissa
Marissa, an Aries, said she’s tugging on the “invisible string” to connect her with her husband.
Marissa George spent seven years in the Navy, according to her Netflix bio, before becoming a lawyer. George graduated from the University of Maryland Carey Law School earlier this year.
Her social media account also places her as living in Baltimore, and she said in a post earlier this year she got a job as a first-year associate at JacksonLewis.
Her Netflix bio says George is looking for “an intelligent and empathetic partner who doesn’t mind her habit of burping out loud.”
“Love is Blind” debuts on Netflix Oct. 2. The show premiered in 2020 and this, its seventh season, is set in Washington, D.C.
