USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards just released its best of fall rankings, and one Vermont location ranked among the best corn mazes in the country.
The annual awards highlight the best in travel, food and lifestyle, and winners are chosen by a public voting poll after being nominated by industry experts.
In the 2024 best of fall awards, ranking fall attractions across the United States in a variety of categories, The Great Vermont Corn Maze in Danville, the largest corn maze in New England, won fourth place for best corn mazes.
“It is humbling to know that our maze fans from around the world took the time to cast their votes every day,” said maze owner Mike Boudreau of the ranking. “Being in rural, northern Vermont, with a very small population, it is amazing that we repeatedly make it into the top 10. We are so grateful to our mazers for their continued support. Our mazers have become like family and they keep returning so we keep improving.”

What to do at The Great Vermont Corn Maze
The Great Vermont Maze has three unique mazes for guests of all ages to enjoy, all of which are included with a regular admission ticket.
The Big Maze covers 24 acres of land on a hill and is full of surprises like an underground tunnel and 100 feet of bridges. In total, this path takes about two hours to complete.
If you are not up for that challenge, the Scenic Maze offers a smaller adventure through the big cornfield, taking around 45 minutes to walk through. Special trails, dinosaurs and panoramic views can be found throughout the scenic maze.
Located within the giant cornfield, the HiddenSeek Maze is a 3,000 sq. ft. thrilling blacklight maze full of hidden treasure. The indoor HiddenSeek Maze is accessible through both the big and scenic mazes, though finding it may present an exciting challenge. It is skippable.
All mazes are lined with exit trails to allow for breaks without having to start over.
Besides the mazes, the Great Vermont Maze also has a robust play area for kids with attractions like a hay bale castle, a mini-golf course and a goat petting zoo.
