Donald Trump better watch out when he comes for Taylor Swift — because now at least one of his supporters has second thoughts.
Trump’s Truth Social post in which he wrote, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” after the pop star publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election has “deeply bothered” and disappointed Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs star Patrick, according to DailyMail.com, which cited sources. Brittany and Swift have become close as the pop star dates Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
“She is questioning her support for Donald Trump after he lashed out at Taylor, saying he hates her,” a source told DailyMail.com in the story published Sept. 16.
Swift wrote on Instagram on Sept. 10 after the presidential debate a multi-paragraph post that explained her reasoning for endorsing Harris, including that “we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” and that the public’s “research is all yours to do, and the (voting) choice is yours to make.”
Trump, after previously jumping on an fabricated AI “endorsement” of Swift, took to his social-media platform days later to make his true feelings known.
“This deeply bothered Brittany because Taylor is like a sister to her and she has done absolutely nothing wrong,” DailyMail.com reported.
Brittany Mahomes took heat for liking (and then unliking) an Instagram post by Trump that outlined his “2024 GOP platform,” per NBC News, and then she called out the haters with “deep rooted issues.” She has liked several pro-Trump comments on her Instagram, according to USA TODAY. Technically, neither she nor Patrick have publicly endorsed anyone, though Trump has seized on her social media “support” in interviews.
“This doesn’t mean she is suddenly voting Kamala,” the source told the DaiilyMail.com. “It has just made her more aware of supporting him so publicly.”
